En Bas Quartet was formed in early 2015 to play and record a low string quartet by composer and double bassist Seth Bennett. The band features Violists Aby Vulliamy (The One Ensemble, Scatter, National Jazz Trio of Scotland) and Benedict Taylor (Cram Records), Cellist Alice Eldridge (Collectress, Mary Hampton's Cottillion) and Seth Bennett on Double Bass. The album is a suite in four movements each offering the musicians different ways of exploring the musical material.
